Staff

We are a family run business with a commitment to employing friendly & knowledgeable staff, some of whom have been with us for more years than they care to remember.

Brian Whitley, CI Manager

Brian is a certified (in so many ways) CEDIA Designer. Trained in CAD, Crestron, Lutron, Systemline and many other systems his wiring diagrams and cable schedules are a work of art. When programming Lutron lighting systems he is often to be found working into the small hours as darkness is a prerequisite for lighting design.

A keen archer and woodworker Brian is a qualified electronic engineer and has worked with us for over 30 years.

Andrew Fox. Manager, Saffron Walden

I was always interested in HIFI and gadgets and was a regular Audio T customer. In 1987 I saw a job advertised in my local paper offering a position, which read “meet interesting people, sell interesting products, earn lots of money (one of the above may not be true)”. I applied and got the position of salesman, needless to say I soon found out which statement wasn't’t true!

Over the next twenty years I worked both in retail and as a UK Sales Manager for a HIFI and custom installation distributor. In 1996 I returned to Audio T to manage a new branch which became their most successful.

When I started in 1987, there were no mobile phones, CD players, home computers, the internet, downloading, home networks etc. It was all about amplifiers, speakers and record players. I have witnessed a huge change in the industry both in terms of products and the customers who buy them with a radical shift towards technology and integration.

As one of the UK's oldest retailers, Chew and Osborne have a rich history, a wealth of knowledge and many loyal clients. There has never been a better time to invest in home technology, and I am looking forward to bringing my industry experience to them and further developing my career to service their clientele and make Chew and Osborne the best place to buy it from.

I look forward to meeting you all.

Ollie Thompson, Saffron Walden

Ollie is a movie buff with "cheekie chappie" written all over him. He is currently writing his own entry where he will no doubt claim to be good looking and witty (only one of which is true). He will no doubt fail to provide a photo.

Nicole Hume, Saffron Walden

Nicole is one of our trained Nevo programmers. Don't be surprised if she talks Arcam and B&W with you as she has done the training and has some of their kit at home.

Ian Sharp, CI Installer

In the first of our staff pen portraits we have Ian Sharp. Seen here with the wiring that went into the rack seen on the Chew & Osborne Ltd :: Custom Installation & Home Automation page. Ian is a Cedia trained installer and has worked on many of our higher profile installations including some foreign excursions (apparently he was working the whole time!)

Ian is also a talented guitarist with Fear Of Fridays.
